The Senior Intelligence Coordinator will be responsible for examining domestic and family violence crime patterns across the State, identify trends and report findings to management for use in strategic decision making, resource development and allocation and policy planning.
The core capability requirements for this role are:
- Identify, research, analyse and develop intelligence assessments and advice on crime and community safety issues.
- Prepare timely and well-researched submissions, briefs, notes and correspondence on behalf of the Queensland Police Service.
- Represent the Intelligence Capability at inter-departmental and intergovernmental meetings.
- Work collaboratively across the intelligence capability and with other government and non-government agencies and individuals.
- Lead and facilitate intelligence capability, coordination, collaboration and industry engagement to achieve intelligence related outcomes.
- Facilitate the provision of accurate, evidence-based information and education on intelligence issues and effective intelligence processes to key stakeholders.
- Responsible for the overall management of the social media monitoring capability, develop and manage the program strategy, guiding Senior Intelligence officers to deliver.
- Develop strategic intelligence and analytical reports on domestic and family violence and vulnerable person related trends or issues, including assessment of risk.
Role Requirements:
Technical/ Operational/ Educational experience
- The successful applicant will be required to perform duty at any business location where intelligence capability is required.
- The successful applicant/s must undertake intelligence training delivered by the Queensland Police Service in line with current policy.
Other
- The successful applicant/s may be required to undergo psychometric assessment prior to appointment.
- Applicants are advised that whilst performing the duties of the position they may be exposed to material (written, visual and audio) of a graphic and sensitive nature.
- Applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance to the minimum level of Negative Vetting Level 1.
