About Seqwater
Seqwater is the Queensland Government Bulk Water Supply Authority, responsible for delivering safe, secure and cost-effective bulk water supply for 3.6 million people across South East Queensland. We also provide essential flood mitigation services, offer community recreation facilities and supply water for irrigation to 1,200 farmers across seven water supply schemes.
Seqwater is one of the largest water businesses with the most geographically spread and diverse asset base of any capital city water authority. Our operations extend from the New South Wales border to the base of the Toowoomba ranges.
About Your Opportunity
Reporting to our Team Leader Corporate Communications, you will deliver strategic advice about best practice Internal Communications. You will lead the development and sharing of information, knowledge and stories across the business and engage our employees on our strategic priorities, vision, values and purpose. You will be responsible for developing relationships across the business and identifying opportunities to communicate in line with business need and strategy. You will seek to maximise opportunities to foster a positive, high-performance culture through content that is informative, educational, and engaging.
The role also requires close interaction with other members of the communications team, to ensure content developed is maximised for internal and external audiences and in line with our desired brand narrative and tone of voice.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of Seqwater’s Internal Communications strategy
- Lead the development and management of effective internal communication channels, content and activities
- Proactively seek storytelling opportunities from within the business, research and develop content, and share across multiple channels
- Provide strategic advice, create content and oversee print and digital communication products to communicate Seqwater’s strategy and vision, and drive a positive, high-performance culture
- Monitor, evaluate and report on efficacy of internal communication channels and lead process improvement projects where necessary

About you
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in a field appropriate to the position (communication, marketing, journalism, public relations) highly desirable but not essential
- Minimum of five years' experience in a related field
- Unrestricted driver’s licence for a motor vehicle
- High level of knowledge and/or experience with Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Teams), Content management systems and publishing software like Sharepoint.
This position has a salary starting at $113,473 - $123,457 plus superannuation.
