This is a long-term contract role for 12 months with a 24-month extension term, offering multiple locations across ACT, NSW, QLD, and VIC.
Flexible working arrangements are available, with at least 3 days required on-site.
As a Business Analyst, you will:
- Analyze, model, and organize information to resolve conflicts, gather requirements, and distinguish solutions from business needs.
- Produce detailed analysis and design documents, including high-level and detailed requirements, business process maps, user stories, and user interface specifications.
- Map current and future state business processes.
- Lead consultations with internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in planning and managing user acceptance activities.
- Support projects in line with DTA processes and the department's digital delivery model.
- Demonstrated experience conducting business and technical analysis on complex digital projects and products, producing high-quality BA artifacts (40% weighting).
- Experience leading consultation with business and technical stakeholders to elicit requirements (20% weighting).
- A proven track record in an Agile software development environment, including developing user stories, working in a multidisciplinary team, and supporting sprint activities (20% weighting).
- Experience working with complex IT systems, including understanding system interoperability, database structures, and data flows between systems (20% weighting).
- An understanding of the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations' business context.
- Experience using Azure DevOps for Agile methodology.
