An exciting and rare opportunity has opened up in our team and we are searching for our next superstar! Situated within the Capricorn Coast region we are a small family owned business aimed at providing exceptional care to an ever growing client base. We are passionate about ensuring each and every pet is provided with optimal care and love throughout their boarding experience.
We are seeking a well presented person who is passionate about animals but also has exceptional customer service and verbal communication skills. The applicant must be able to work in a fast pace team environment and multi-task to a high degree.
This role is flexible and can be offered as part-time or casual, approx. 20-30hrs a week. This is working split shifts between 6.00am – 11am & 2.30-6.30pm weekdays (must be available to work at least every second weekend).
A LOT of cleaning is required to maintain our exceptional high standards of hygiene, so an eye for detail and very high standards are a must. To be success in this position you must possess the follow attributes:
WORK ETHIC - This position can be physically demanding and requires a candidate that will have fantastic work ethic, who is not afraid to get stuck in. Understanding how presentation directly affects our customers experience is a must.
SELF MANAGE - You will be working independently at times and need to work through a daily task list effectively. You will take pride in how you manage yourself and your time. You should possess strategies to help you stay on top of your work load & deal with multiple priorities and help your colleagues. You will be required to administer medication, so the ability to read and follow medical labels is a MUST.
ANIMAL SKILLS - Experience handling animals in a similar role is preferred. Must be comfortable with handling dogs and cats varying in size and temperament. It is not enough to just “love” animals, you must also have a level of understanding of them and the industry that comes with it. We are trusted with our client’s precious pets/family members, you will need to be able to take on that responsibility to deliver our high standard of care. Grooming experience would be advantageous but not necessary.
