Are you ready to drive strategic responses to today's Labour Relations issues?
Permanent Appointment
About the role
As a Senior Labour Relations Advisor in Private Sector Labour Relations, you will be part of a small team working on the development and implementation of the Government's industrial relations policy priorities. You will be responsible for providing information and strategic advice to the Government on Labour Relations issues and working on reform projects for the state industrial relations system.
You will also be actively involved in gathering information on contemporary Labour Relations issues at the state and national levels, undertaking high-level research on state employment laws, participating in award updating matters in the Western Australian Industrial Relations Commission, and developing comprehensive information for clients on industrial relations topics.
If you have demonstrated experience in preparing written advice on Labour Relations issues, along with a proven track record in developing strategic responses to issues, this is an excellent opportunity for you. Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are crucial for liaising with diverse stakeholders, and a sound knowledge of Labour Relations legislation and issues is a key requirement.
Private Sector Labour Relations is part of DEMIRS Corporate Services and Labour Relations Group, responsible for shaping and implementing Labour Relations policy and legislative reform. The Division strives to be a proactive regulator to achieve compliance with state employment laws while also assisting private sector employers and employees to better understand and meet their workplace rights and obligations.
This role is located at 1 Adelaide Terrace, a landmark building situated at the eastern gateway to the Perth CBD.
