AddressGenesis Minerals are currently seeking a Community Relations Advisor for a permanent opportunity to join the team at our Leonora Operations.

In joining Leonora Operations as a member of the Land Management and External Relations teams, you will have an opportunity to be part of making a real difference. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining trusting and respectful relationships with community members across areas such as company activities, employment, business engagement, community sponsorship and other community-related initiatives.
This opportunity is offered on a Monday to Friday roster and will be a residential role in Leonora or the local surrounding areas.
The opportunity
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with local communities, government and local agencies, indigenous groups, and other stakeholders.
- In consultation with community members and groups, developing and implementing community engagement strategies that align with Genesis’ ASPIRE values and objectives.
- Representing the company at community events, forums and public meetings.
- Developing and coordinating community events, meetings, and consultations to ensure effective communication and engagement.
- Actively manage and respond to community issues or queries, and maintaining the community stakeholder register across the Company
- Collaborating with internal teams to integrate community perspectives into decision-making processes.
- Guiding the Company’s local community sponsorship and donations program

- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.

- Strong interpersonal, influencing and communication skills, as well as time management and a high level of enthusiasm
- Demonstrated computer literacy (MS Office and other programs)
- Ability to produce a National Police Clearance (valid within the last 3 months) for site access purposes
- Current unencumbered Australian Driver’s Licence and experience in remote and gravel road driving
- Formal qualifications in community development, public relations, corporate social development (CSR), social sciences, environmental studies would be highly regarded but not essential
