Central West Local Land Services (CWLLS) has a fantastic opportunity available to join the Agriculture Advisory services team. This role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about stakeholder engagement and facilitating partnerships with farmers, industry and community groups to deliver sustainable agriculture and livestock production outcomes.
About the role
In this role you will be:
- Working directly with producer and industry to identify and develop key priorities for extension and adoption within the livestock sector of Central West region and broadly across the industry
- Developing and delivering project activities that directly address key drivers and barriers to sustainable agricultural production and profitability, natural resource management and preparing for and minimising impacts of exotic and endemic pest threats, natural disasters and emergencies
- Providing technical advice and assistance to the livestock industry and producers to increase adoption of best practice management
- Supporting effective planning processes within Local Land Services and with producers and land managers to prepare for and respond to natural disasters and emergencies
- Utilising adult learning principles to effectively develop and deliver targeted education and training activities
- Creating collaborative networks and producer groups for effective delivery of projects and programs for the mixed farming sector and livestock industry within Central West NSW.

About you
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Practical experience in sustainable agriculture with a focus on livestock production and farming systems.
- Strong communication skills and an open and inquisitive approach to sustainable agriculture
- Experience in group facilitation, working effectively with differing communication styles and engaging with varying stakeholder groups
- A current NSW driver licence combined with the willingness and ability to travel across NSW (including overnight stays) is also required.
