The Violence Prevention & Women's Advocacy Teams are recognised as a leading provider of specialist and multi-disciplinary services in domestic and family violence and related matters, specialising in a holistic and socially inclusive service delivery model.
What you will do
- Representing vulnerable and disadvantage clients
- Provide duty lawyer services and legal information and advice to clients and the public
- Provide advice on and contribute to changes in police, procedures and systems
- Refer clients to other services, as appropriate
- Detailed knowledge of the practice and procedure of domestic and family violence law
- Understanding of and can apply the principles of trauma informed practice
- Ability to present in a clear, concise and articulate manner
- A considered and ethical approach to decision making
- 36.25 hrs per week (full time hours)
- 12.75% employer super contributions
- Generous salary packaging available
- Study leave for approved work-related courses
