Responsibilities:
- EPC Head contract management for large hydrocarbons project
- Handling claims associated with the head contract and subcontracts
- Managing stakeholders at both upstream and downstream levels
- Monitoring contractor’s compliance, progress and deliverables
- Ensuring timely communication of all notifications to the client as stipulated in the main contract
- Preparing interim progress claims and negotiating agreements with the client's representative on claimed amounts
- Liaising with JV partners and also clients with regards to contract variations and claims
Required Experience:
- Prior experience working on f lump sum EPC contracts
- Past involvement in overseeing head contracts and managing upstream activities
- Claims experience required
- Extensive experience in handling major construction contracts within the resources sector, ideally focusing on significant oil and gas or resource client projects
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Contracts Engineer
- Basic knowledge of Oil & Gas standards, regulations and procedures preferred.
- A sound understanding of the principles of contracts law, business ethics and the contractual/commercial principles adopted within the industry.
