As a Senior Learning and Capability Specialist you will be responsible for designing and delivering learning initiatives to enable our Victoria Workers Compensation teams to be successful. You will be partnering and consulting with stakeholders, influencing learning outcomes, designing, and delivering learning based on Adult Learning Principles, enabling a life-long learning culture, and supporting business success. This is a hybrid role, required to work in the Melbourne office at least one day (preferable two) per week. Applicants must be located in Victoria Australia.
Responsibilities of the role:
- Consult with business unit business unit (BU) leaders to determine learning needs, support capability uplift, embed Professional Standards, and contribute to business goals.
- Contribute to positive BU outcomes by collaborating with external stakeholders such as industry regulatory bodies e.g., WorkSafe VIC, SIRA, ASIC, APRA, ANZIIF.
- Lead a team of 3 people (no direct reports) to life-long learning using adult learning methodologies; for example, enabling teams to self-service learning.
- Contribute to implementing adult learning methodologies within the Learning Academy team; for example, conducting root cause analysis, and providing data-based analysis and reporting.
- Lead best practice in learning analysis, design, development, delivery, and embedding to contribute to BU success. This may include data analysis, conducting training needs analysis, proposing learning approach and evaluating learning success metrics.
- Partner with BU leaders to increase capability across Victoria Workers Compensation teams.
Important to your success:
- Solid understanding of Victoria Workers Compensation teams and/ or strong insurance experience in a large matrixed, regulated and customer focused organisation.
- Experience applying adult learning methodologies, designing, and delivering learning solutions, in a medium - large corporate organisation, in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
- Adult learning qualification desired, for example, Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, Diploma of Education or Graduate Diploma of Learning.
- Demonstrated experience delivering engaging and impactful presentations that influence senior leaders and enable positive learning and BU outcomes.
- Adept at proactively building and maintaining professional relationships and networks, exchange knowledge and elicit beneficial outcomes.
- Adaptability and flexibility to work in a dynamic environment managing risks, project deliverables, stakeholder challenges, and meeting deadlines.
- Ability to interpret complex information, extract meaningful insights, provide effective options, and influence decision making.
