Our client is an Australian-based provider of stockbroking, investment and financial advisory services with offices across Australia and in New York, London and Hong Kong. A new opportunity has arisen for a commercially astute lawyer with at least 6 years’ PQE to join the Legal team in their Melbourne office.
Reporting to the Group General Counsel and Company Secretary, this is an in-house role that will see you engaged in a broad range of legal work. This includes advising on Corporations Act matters and equity capital markets transactions, as well as a wide range of matters including commercial contracts, leases, employment and litigation. You will also assist with corporate governance and company secretarial matters including board papers, ASX announcements, the Annual Report and AGM.
With at least 6 years’ PQE in equity capital markets and/or Financial Services, gained in private practice or a similar in-house environment, you are commercial and able to work autonomously, with excellent technical skills. You will work closely with senior management to achieve positive solutions.
