We are flexible for these roles to be based in Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne - as long as you can attend our office at least once a week.

About the role

We have 3 opportunities to join us as a Senior Legal Counsel in the following specialties:
- Public and Capital Markets
- Asset Management
- Private Corporate Assets
As Senior Legal Counsel, you will act as a trusted adviser and business partner in relation to investment matters, providing specialist, solutions-focused legal advice and services.
Key accountabilities will include:
- Provide timely, accurate and commercially appropriate legal advice on investment related activities.
- Provide advice and expertise on complex investment related documentation and investment structures.
- Remain current with changes in legislation and best practice by conducting research, interpretation and training.
- Promote risk culture including managing the legal and reputational risk of Australian Retirement Trust.

These roles are available as 12-month fixed term opportunities to cover periods of parental leave.
About you
If this is the right role for you, your skills and qualifications may include:
- Tertiary qualification in Law and current unrestricted practising certificate as a Legal Practitioner in Australia.
- Extensive legal experience in a top tier law firm and/or investment bank specialising in the relevant area.
- Robust negotiation, drafting, influencing and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of an organisation.
- Proven ability to provide professional, concise advice and solutions to technical, legislative, and strategic issues.
