Two exciting opportunities have arisen to work in the native title sector in the areas of cultural heritage, compensation and native title legislative and Policy reform. The National Native Title Council (NNTC) needs to fill the positions of Senior LegalPolicy Officer and Policy Officer.
Working in a dynamic sector, the NNTC is the peak body for the native title sector. Our members are made up of the Traditional Owners of Australia’s lands, waters and resources, and their representative bodies. Through the native title system, we advocate for the rights and interests of all First Nations people.
We are looking for two enthusiastic, well organised professionals to join Senior Staff located in Melbourne, Victoria; Perth, Western Australia; or Sydney, NSW. Excellent communication skills are a must as is the ability to create and maintain strong working relationships with all key stakeholders, particularly First Nations people. A knowledge of native title processes, and familiarity with the political, cultural and legal issues affecting native title would be beneficial.
Both positions are being offered on a 12-month full time fixed term arrangement with an attractive salary range commensurate with the successful candidates experience and expertise. As a not-for-profit organisation salary packaging is also available.
