You will contribute by being involved in activities that:
- relate to the licensing of individuals and organisations under a range of Acts including the Liquor Act 1992 and the Gaming Machine Act 1991
- assist in developing and maintaining statistical tools to monitor and analyse performance and data accuracy
- ensure that the liquor and gaming industries in Queensland continue to operate in a responsible manner.

The Licensing team are involved in activities that:
- ensure the suitability of individuals and corporations who participate in the liquor and gaming industry;
- identify trends and issues affecting the liquor and gaming industry and recommend appropriate strategies to address them; and
- positively and proactively engage with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Interpreting licensing data and analysing results with attention to detail to enable high quality and accurate reporting of performance data.
- Identifying data trends and patterns to assist with decision-making and delivering service improvements that respond to community expectations.
- Responding adeptly to queries from internal and external clients about licence application by providing accurate advice.
- Preparing high quality reports and representing data visually in a simple and organised manner.
- Undertaking or assisting with processing high-risk applications and licensing functions within agreed timeframes.
- Participating in team meetings and interagency forums.
- Mentoring and developing others within the team to achieve target outcomes and support a performance focused work approach.
- Providing advice to internal and external clients in relation to processes and operational requirements.
