NB Industries currently have an opening for a motivated and positive minded individual to join our team in the role of Senior Mechanic. Based in our Mechanical Workshop in Paget, your primary focus will be delivering safety, productivity and quality through active team participation and leadership to ensure our customers receive the best quality products and service.
Reporting directly to the Leading Hand your key responsibilities will include:
- Perform regular servicing, repairs, and maintenance through to brakes, clutches, steering repairs, tyres (tyre replacement and wheel balancing), suspension repairs, upgrades, and replacement on a wide range of vehicles, including our Company Fleet.
- Assist in providing active and positive leadership to a small team of Light Vehicle Mechanics and Apprentices.
- Assist in the monitoring of jobs for quality and efficiency.
- Provide guidance and expertise to all team members including the coaching and training of apprentices.
- Consistently monitor the Mechanical Workshop for safety, functionality, cleanliness, and hygiene.
- Demonstrated commitment to a high level of workplace health and safety.
- Excellent team player with a high priority in maintaining positive and beneficial relationships with all disciplines including customers, clients, management, and fellow colleagues.
About you:
- Trade Qualification – Cert III Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or similar)
- Roadworthy Certificate
- Unrestricted Drivers Licence
- Forklift Licence - preferred
- Excellent mechanical knowledge with strong diagnostic skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrable experience in establishing and maintaining mutually beneficial internal and external relationships.
- Proven stakeholder and customer engagement with a high degree of professionalism and confidence.
- Extensive experience in leading and working within a team environment aimed at achieving shared goals and objectives.
- A keen and natural ability in the leveraging of talent in others, seeking innovative and positive methods to encourage positivity and motivation enabling your team to reach their goals and shine.
