As a Senior Line Layout Designer, you'll provide expert line layout design services and technical leadership in the discipline of transmission line.

You'll be the first point of contact in the team to establish design, scoping, budget and timing of deliverables relating to HV primary design. The role also provides a valuable field support service to ensure that project implementation alignment with layout design requirements.

The role is required to provide layout design and associated drafting services, directly supervise, review and support layout design tasks allocated to the layout design team, including project scoping, estimating, line engineering survey and co-ordination of minor line projects.

Based at our Virginia office, you'll join a team that is focused on a commitment to safety policies and practices. The team will also provide valuable field support service to ensure that project implementation addresses layout design requirements. Our team values collaboration, innovation, and a customer-centric approach in everything we do.

Your expertise

• Associate Diploma in Survey, Electrical or Civil Engineering plus relevant hands-on experience in transmission line layout design and PLS Cadd
• Knowledge and competence in PLS_Cadd design, in particular 3D transmission line layout and the application of Finite Element principles
• Safe application of electrical clearances, insulators, conductors, hardware and transmission line structure models in PLS_Cadd layout designs
• Working knowledge with AutoCAD drafting software
