About the Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Improvement Superintendent, the purpose of this position is to lead the mechanical Maintenance Engineering team to ensure tactical planning, organizing and control of the reliability and maintenance support functions within Northparkes Mine.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Leading the Reliability team to drive best practice and deliver high equipment effectiveness.
- Providing leadership to the reliability team, contractors and service providers
- Defining and implementing improvement programs
- Achieving the desired level of productivity, profitability, unit cost, and improvements
- Utilizing your experience in the application of defect elimination, asset tactics, condition monitoring, hydrocarbon management and Maintenance Engineering
- Embracing and upholding Evolution's core values of Safety, Excellence, Accountability, and Respect.
- Leading a culture of safety and continuous improvement, actively contributing to our Net Zero 2050 initiative.
About You

The ideal candidate will hold a professional degree in engineering and a full driver’s license. Postgraduate qualifications in Asset Management and ISO Certification in Condition Monitoring Technologies are highly regarded. You must have considerable experience in reliability or Maintenance Engineering, asset strategy development, and root cause analysis. Desirable skills include technical/engineering experience in mining/heavy industry, SAP proficiency, and frontline management training. Competencies in project management, risk assessment, RCA facilitation, and data analysis are essential. Your ability to uphold high work standards and collaborate effectively with others is vital. This role demands strong relationship building and communication skills, along with a keen eye for detail. As an organized, efficient, proactive, and adaptable professional, you will thrive in our dynamic work environment that welcomes change.
