About the RoleWe have an opportunity for a Senior Maintenance Technician - Mechanical to join our Stapylton, QLD manufacturing plant. To be successful, you will have 5 years experience within a FMCG manufacturing environment, a relevant trade qualification and an ability to adapt and think on your feet in a fast moving environment.
This is a permanent full-time position working day shift, Monday to Friday.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you key responsibilities will include:
- Fault finding on high speed bottling systems
- Using high-level fault finding skills to evaluate maintenance breakdowns
- Ensuring all preventable and scheduled maintenance are completed in a timely manner
- Consulting with production personnel to determine equipment operating and maintenance needs
- Upgrading and expanding of existing systems and features
- Integrating machines and systems using different control hardware’s
- Developing continuous improvement initiatives
- Upgrading machines to Australian safety standards
- Developing operating procedures, operating functions, fault and troubleshooting guides
- Ensuring safe operating conditions exist throughout the facility. Promptly correcting any unsafe conditions
- Supervising external contractors when on site
- Updating and reviewing P&ID Drawings and developing training schedules
- Ensuring GMP compliance with site quality and food safety programs
- A mechanical tertiary trade qualification
- 5 plus years’ experience in a similar role within the Manufacturing - FMCG/ Food + Beverage industry
- Knowledge of business operations including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safe Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Previous experience working in an environment that utilised high speed packaging equipment, blow moulders and filler lines will be highly regarded
- Understanding of safety systems and processes including risks assessment, incident reporting and planned inspections
- Strong ability to build effective internal and external working relationships at all levels
- Computer literacy, with well developed written and verbal communication skills
