Description
Reporting into the Financial Controller your role will be to oversee the following:
- Develop and implement Activity-Based Costing (ABC) structures to accurately allocate costs.
- Prepare and analyse cost centre reports to monitor the financial performance of business units.
- Conduct margin analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings and profit improvement.
- Provide detailed financial insights and reports to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and operations teams to understand cost drivers and improve cost efficiency.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes for business units.
- Monitor and report on key financial metrics, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Support the development and implementation of financial systems and processes.
- Conduct variance analysis to compare actual performance against budgets and forecasts.
- Provide financial training and support to non-financial managers to enhance their understanding of financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
Profile
The successful candidates will be able to display the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or CMA designation is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a management accounting role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of Activity-Based Costing (ABC) and cost centre reporting.
- Proven experience in margin analysis and cost management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
