Group Audit and Assurance (GA&A) are the internal audit function for the Group. GA&A was recognised as an ABA100 winner for both Risk Management and Business Innovation in The Australian Business Awards 2023.See yourself in our teamAs a Senior Manager, Learning and Capability, you will lead and implement a holistic people approach for the GAA team with a specific focus on learning and organisational development, talent management and employee engagement. You will partner with our leaders to enhance the people and culture of GAA and develop best-in-class internal auditors.This is a 12 month fixed term role.Do work that matters

  • Driving the annual capability skills process including skills framework review, skills assessment and learning plan development as well as contributing to the Annual Operating Plans and Quarterly Business Review process.
  • Partnering with stakeholders to identify learning needs and priorities, and supporting them to adopt 70% Experience, 20% Exposure, 10% Education approach to learning and development within their teams.
  • Setting strategic people goals and supporting leaders to make informed decisions to ensure the department achieves its objectives.
  • Managing projects, initiatives and budgets to ensure efficient operations of the people function.
  • Collaborating and engaging across different teams and business units to ensure we leverage existing knowledge and resources and drive alignment.
  • Fostering a positive work culture within GAA and leading the Your Voice in addition to building and strengthening GAA’s profile within the internal audit profession.
  • Process improvement / digitisation / automation of processes to streamline work.
  • Operational responsibilities that are required for the smooth functioning of the People and Capability team, as well as pro-actively contributing to long-term value creation for the GAA.
We’re interested in hearing from people who possess
  • Strong track record of developing comprehensive technical learning strategies aligned with goals and industry best practices
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical skills and commercial acumen, with demonstrated ability to draw meaningful insights from analysis together with strong Excel and Powerpoint skills for data analysis and reporting
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and execute initiatives from conception to completion, ensuring alignment with department goals and timelines with demonstrated proficiency in managing organisational change including communication, stakeholder consulting and engagement, and resistance management.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver multiple deliverables simultaneously
  • Expertise in designing and implementing strategies to enhance learning and organisational effectiveness, culture and employee engagement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to convey complex ideas, influence stakeholders, foster collaboration across teams and business units (e.g., Group Capability, Data and Analytics Academy, Risk Academy etc)
  • 7+ years experience leading learning and organisational development.
