Job description

Work options: Hybrid

Hybrid work environment

  • Newly created position
  • Shape the newly formed L&D function
  • Hybrid work environment

AnglicareSA is one of SA's largest social services providers, with services spanning aged care, disability & wellness, housing & homelessness, and community services.

Learning and development has been identified as a key strategic priority across the organisation. As a result, L&D is now becoming a separate function outside of general HR, creating a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Manager to shape and lead this new function.

We are a complex organisation operating in a highly regulated environment, and each operational area has their own unique needs and priorities. This new leadership position will suit someone who is excited by the opportunities and challenges this presents, and can build on the existing foundations to strengthen learning and development across AnglicareSA.

Key priorities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of a contemporary L&D strategy and oversee the operationalisation of L&D initiatives
  • Lead the development and delivery of a suite of training programs, with a primary focus on leadership and management development
  • Oversee the development of a competency based framework that aligns with organisational objectives and employee growth

What the role requires:

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Education, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in learning and development
  • Leadership skills, with the ability to communicate a clear strategy and direction, and support employees to achieve goals
  • Experience leading transformative L&D functions
  • Experience designing and delivering advanced leadership and management training programs
  • 2x doses of a COVID19 vaccination and current (or willingness to obtain) flu vaccination due to the nature of our services

About us:

As one of SA’s largest social services provider, AnglicareSA makes a positive difference to the lives of more than 50,000 people each year. Our 2000 employees, and 300+ volunteers support individuals, families and communities, responding to their immediate need and working with them to build capacity to restore and maintain dignity and control in their lives. Our services are broad, supporting people at every stage of life.

We believe in social justice, the equal worth of each citizen, equality of opportunity and the importance of strong communities. Together we change lives.

What we offer:

  • Hybrid work environment
  • Fully maintained vehicle, or motor vehicle allowance in lieu
  • Access to our fantastic salary packaging options – increase your take home pay by decreasing the amount of tax you pay with $15,899 tax free each year
  • Meal Entertainment and Holiday Accommodation Card provides you with an additional $2,650 tax free per year
  • Paid parental leave, including superannuation paid on parental leave
  • Paid study leave, and financial education assistance up to $6,000
  • Genuine career development opportunities across the organisation
