Our Opportunity
Work Location - Iron Bridge.
- Fortescue's Iron Bridge project is located on the traditional lands of the Nyamal people.
Roster - 4 days/ 3 off FIFO ex Perth
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe work environment that aligns to WHS Legislation and develop safety management plans
- Provide leadership support and development to all department personnel
- Management of Tailings storage facility and Near mine bore fields
- Management of non-processing facilities maintenance and statutory inspections
- Management of light vehicle and SME leases for Operations team
- Ensuring environmental obligations are meet around wastewater treatment plants and waste landfills
- Ensuring budget management and forecasting is completed within business requirements
Qualifications and Experience
- A background in occupational health and safety (OHS) or workplace health and safety (WHS) would be essential. This could be supported by relevant certifications or qualifications in WHS management. Experience in developing safety management plans and ensuring compliance with WHS legislation is crucial.
- Strong leadership skills and experience in managing teams are essential.
- Knowledge and experience in mine site operations, particularly in managing tailings storage facilities and bore fields, would be necessary.
- A background in engineering or facilities management could be beneficial.
- Knowledge of fleet management practices and contracts negotiation could be beneficial.
- Experience in environmental management, environmental engineering, or related fields is valuable.
- Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management are necessary. This includes skills in financial forecasting, cost control, and ensuring budgets align with business requirements.
