Our Payroll Advisory team advises business in optimising their end-to-end payroll operating model. we focus on five main pillars: people, process, system, governance, and control. We identify pain points, inefficiencies and improvements, and any potential breach or risk of non-compliance. McGrathNicol Payroll Advisory services include targeted remediation programs for wage underpayment, assessment and transformation of payroll operating models, advanced payroll analytics, and payroll compliance, auditing, due diligence and reporting.

- Assist clients in reviewing their end-to-end payroll model and provide insights for optimisation.
- Partner with external lawyers, payroll specialists, data scientists, and accountants, providing subject matter expertise for remediation programs. Translate legal interpretations into accessible language, serving as a blueprint for complex models developed by our data analytics team.
- Conduct stress tests and meticulous reviews of key payroll documents, ensuring accuracy in entitlement outcomes for our engagements.
- Work with corporates, their M&A advisors, and lawyers to conduct Payroll Due Diligence to support transactions.
- Work with our forensic team on Payroll disputes.
- Collaborate with our Business Improvement team to support Payroll Transformation and Payroll Migration.
- Assist the team in developing new tools and techniques to address the rapidly expanding payroll issues faced by our clients.
- Possess a minimum of 5 years in operational payroll, with ideally 2+ years in consulting/professional services.
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Exhibit ambition, drive, and determination, actively contributing to the expansion of Payroll Advisory Services.
- Showcase excellent interpersonal and communication skills, especially in simplifying complex payroll issues for varied audiences.
- Display fantastic teamwork skills, a robust work ethic, and the ability to thrive under pressure.
