Wintringham is a specialised non-religious not-for-profit welfare organisation. We are committed to providing older people who are at risk or have experienced homelessness with a range of high-quality care, housing and services. We employ more than 1,000 staff across Victoria and Tasmania.
Our Head Office, located in Flemington, provides the strategic direction and support services for Wintringham’s residential, housing, NDIS, outreach and community care services.
Your new role
Due to organisation growth, an opportunity exists for a dynamic and experienced Senior Manager to assist in the delivery of high-quality Residential Aged Care Services. Reporting to the General Manager Residential Aged Care, and working collaboratively with a peer Senior Manager, this exciting role will provide leadership, support and supervision to reporting Managers and will assist them to monitor their respective program’s performance.
Other responsibilities and duties will include:
- Manage/provide high level management support for program managers within Wintringham Aged Care Services Portfolio
- Provision of afterhours support for residential sites – on call.
- Identify opportunities to enhance services through growth, partnerships and reform
- Work in conjunction with General Manager Residential Aged Care in developing the organisational strategic plan related to residential care services
- Ensuring processes are in place to ensure service delivery meets all legislative, contractual and National Aged Care Quality Standards / Accreditation requirements
- Provide leave coverage for the General Manager Residential Aged Care Services
- Duties as directed by the General Manager Residential Aged Care Services from time to time.
You are a proven leader with a track record of management in the Aged Care sector. Your skills will be supported by possessing the following:
- Degree level qualification in allied health or Aged Care related field
- Senior management experience in Aged Care Services including homelessness
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a complex function and empower employees within their roles
- Demonstrated ability to engender wellbeing, synergy and a spirit of collaboration across teams
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage change and innovation in service provision
- Knowledge of Commonwealth and State Government policies, standards and compliance requirements
- Demonstrated ability to support staff and clients with behaviour management
- Project management experience with small to large projects in a medium sized organisation
- Exceptional communication skills (Written and Verbal)
- Excellent problem solving aptitude & ability to think on your feet.
- Ability to liaise with staff at every level of the organisation
- Current driver’s license & own reliable vehicle for site visits where required
