The Opportunity
Join our team from Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane on a Permanent Full-Time basis.
Reporting to the General Manager, Enterprise Security, this role is accountable for running a cyber defence and Security Operations centre that is responsible for security monitoring, security investigations, security incident response as part of APA's incident management, crisis management, emergency response and business continuity frameworks. This role is also accountable for leading a team of governance leads responsible for the design and governance of security controls across the Identity and Access, Data security, Cloud and infrastructure security and Vulnerability and end point protection domains. The role blends Detection and Response capabilities with prevention capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
  • Management of security incidents and events in line with APA's incident management, crisis management, emergency response and business continuity frameworks as well as overseeing and running the Security Operations centre.
  • Coordinating responses to security incidents providing leadership, guidance and subject matter expertise.
  • Leading a team of governance leads that are accountable for the strategy, roadmaps, reporting and design effectiveness of security controls.
  • Product ownership of key security services e.g. security monitoring and privileged access platform. Inc. key aspects such as coverage and capacity in line with risk targets and budgets.
  • Financial management and budgeting and vendor management
  • Threat intelligence, reporting and advisories on cyber protective security threats.
  • Adherence to compliance obligations e.g. SOCI: mandatory reporting, cyber exercises and summary reports.
Your background
This position would suit an energetic and passionate Leader with experience across a range of security domains and technologies as well as people management within the Security Operations or security governance realm. The successful candidate will have a strong track record in influencing stakeholders to implement security controls and remediate security control gaps, developing and running Security Operations as well as coordination with Managed Security Service Providers.
