This thriving NFP are now looking for a Team Leader who is Senior Occupational Therapist to join the team.
Salary of $107,000–$120,000 + super + salary packaging + monthly bonus + car allowance, CPD allowance and additional CPD leave based on qualifications and experience
About the Role: We are looking for an energetic and confident Occupational Therapist who have at least 3 years minimum experience working with people with a disability with complex needs, incorporating specialized and complex intervention strategies such as equipment prescription and environmental modifications.
As an experienced Occupational Therapist you will be using your clinical and administrative skills to:
- Manage a caseload of people with disabilities and their families or carers, who present with a variety of needs. This includes assessment, intervention planning, program development and equipment prescription in the areas of seating and positioning, mobility and transport safety, manual handling, environmental modification, upper limb function and self-care needs.
- Assess client needs and develop, implement, monitor and review intervention programs for each client to ensure the client’s assessed needs are being met.
- Support the philosophy of person centered practice and engage in collaborative, holistic goal setting that reflects the individual’s needs and priorities.
- Ensure service delivery models are based on current evidence based practice and are delivered within resources.
- Demonstrate proficient assessment and measurement skills, including collection of client information and selection of appropriate assessment tools.
- Provide clinical leadership, supervision and support to other allied health staff and students, ensuring the use of best practice models that meet the needs of disability program requirements and individuals and families.
- Act as a specialist resource to management on all matters pertaining to the provision of Occupational Therapy services within The Junction Works.
- Contribute to the strategic direction of the Allied Health team with the support of The Junction Management team to drive organizational growth and success.
- Recognised Degree in Occupational Therapy and AHPRA Registration.
- General registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
- Experience working collaboratively as a member of a multi-disciplinary team and in partnership with other services.
- Experience and understanding of NDIS implementation, reviews and requirements, including time management skills in line with service provision.
- Passion for supporting people with a disability and their families
- Therapist Current Working with Children Check, Police check and Current CPR training.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a larger multidisciplinary team
- Exceptional time management skills
- Knowledge of the NDIS system and process (preferred but not essential)
- Be part of a dedicated, passionate and collaborative leadership team
- Salary $100k to $120k + super
