This role will report to the General Manager Marketing and Communications and is responsible for leading the Veteran Services portfolio and leading a team of four to plan, deliver and evaluate Veteran Services campaigns, small and large-scale Defence engagement events, marketing and communication programs and the RSL Queensland League and membership network. The role is responsible for the strategic overlay across the greater veteran Services Marketing team, working collaboratively with the marketing areas and teams.
Based at our Anzac House office in Fortitude Valley, this is a 14 month, fixed-term contract, and allows for 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.
What’s required to succeed:
You will be an experienced people leader, there to support and develop your team. You’ll be a product and services marketer and communications specialist, adept at building strong stakeholder relationships and delivering on our core purpose and mission.
- Tertiary Qualifications in marketing, business, or a related discipline.
- 6+ years’ experience in a strategic marketing and communications role
- 2+ years in a team leader role (people management experience desirable)
- Extensive experience in developing and strengthening stakeholder engagement through trust
- Demonstrable success in a customer service environment focused on customer engagement and experience
- Experience in embedding membership/client acquisition and retention initiatives
- Extensive analytical capability to deliver impactful and meaningful reporting
- Experience in building and developing relationships with a range of stakeholders and a demonstrable ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with groups and individuals with diverse needs
- Experience of project management and monitoring and evaluating quality and impact
- Excellent communication skills negotiation and presentation skills
