The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to be part of an organisation dedicated to nation-building renewable energy projects that will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.
In your new role, you will take the lead in managing the Supply Chain Systems, Reporting, Governance, and Improvement functions within Transgrid’s Supply Chain division. Your primary focus will be to drive efficient and effective practices that generate sustainable value for the business.
This entails providing strategic direction and operational support across all aspects of Supply Chain planning, policies, processes, and software systems. You will oversee team capability development, metrics tracking, data analysis, and the implementation of systems and processes supporting supplier selection, onboarding, contracting, supplier performance, relationship management, and risk management.
Additionally, you will work towards enhancing the maturity of the Request-to-Pay systems and related policies and processes to align with global best practices. This initiative aims to simplify processes, increase scalability, improve customer experiences, and foster agility within the organisation.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of customer experience and customer-centric principles, coupled with advanced stakeholder management skills. They should demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas in a simple manner to individuals at all levels and across various audiences within the organisation.
About you
Significant industry P2P best practice experience (clearly knows what great looks like) and strong experience and knowledge in P2P process management.
Strong experience and knowledge in Supply Chain policy, processes, and system integration.
Strong implementation experience of Supply Chain metrics to monitor and drive continuous. improvement and value across the full Supply Chain lifecycle.
Technical knowledge in Supply Chain, sourcing, category management, contracting, risk and change management, finance systems, data, and cost benefit analysis.
Strong governance and change management experience.
Advanced communication and collaboration skills (both verbal and written), with demonstrated ability to communicate complex ideas simply to all levels and audiences within the organisation.
Innovative thinking and a broad knowledge, commercial and financial acumen to contribute ideas on all aspects of the organisation with the gravitas to influence at the most senior levels.
