Senior Manager - Tax And Business Advisory

An exciting opportunity awaits to join a well-established accounting practice based in Canberra CBD. They specialise in servicing dynamic privately owned businesses and SMEs across various industries.

As a Manager within the Business Services team, you'll have the ability to run a team of accountants and finance officers to deliver excellent service to your portfolio of clients. You will also have the ability to work closely with current partners, developing your skillset and be put on the path to partnership.

You'll engage with the firm's prominent clients and advisory tasks right from the start.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of income tax returns and specialised financial reports for a diverse client base.
• Assisting in research and providing practical written advice.
• Liaising with the ATO, including drafting general correspondence related to income tax, PAYG, and GST matters.
• Ensuring efficient and effective completion of assigned tasks.
• Promptly addressing ad-hoc client inquiries.
• Maintaining clear communication with Partners and peers.
• Mentoring and supervising junior team members.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

• 4+ years' experience in a similar practice within Australia.
• Pursuing or completed CA/CPA qualification.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with keen attention to detail.
• Sound commercial awareness.
• Effective time management, reliability, and team collaboration abilities.
