We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Design professional to lead the conception, design, and development of high-performance products. This role involves actively guiding the design process from initial concept design, engineering analysis, and prototyping to comprehensive risk assessment and evaluation leading to product release.

What You Will Do:
- Drive innovation and contribute to expanding our product portfolio by conceptualising and designing new, cutting-edge products to meet customer needs and market demands.
- Lead end-to-end design process: concept, engineering analysis, simulation, tooling, testing, safety approvals, and production integration.
- Develop and review engineering drawings for clear manufacturing and assembly communication.
- Provide technical expertise in fabrication methodologies (extrusions, die castings, injection molding, sheet metal, DFMA, tooling and prototyping).
- Interface with manufacturers to resolve technical issues, improving cost and quality of designs.
- Identify appropriate tooling based on part specifics for various applications.
- Research new technologies, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Be responsible for all levels of deliverables required to produce a quality product on time (production documentation & supporting data).
- Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and improvements planning.
- Provide training to enhance personnel capabilities and knowledge.
- Collaborate across company functions to ensure project success.
What You Will Bring:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
- 5+ years of product design experience (concept to production), including design for test and manufacturing.
- Demonstrated experience in designing parts for modern manufacturing technologies, including aluminum die castings, injection molding, extrusions, sheet metal, and optical components.
- Demonstrated aptitude for hands on engineering and troubleshooting with experience designing products for challenging environments, including high temperatures, hazardous materials, tight tolerances, etc.
- Proficiency in using Siemens NX preferred. If no NX experience, must be able to learn and adopt it quickly since it will be the design package used.
- Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and thermal management.
- Proficiency in structural and thermal analysis, simulation, and modelling.
- Solid knowledge of disciplines related to mechanical engineering.
- Thorough understanding of the product design lifecycle and practices related to Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software.
- Ability to work independently and be self-sufficient while managing multiple projects.
- Ability to respond well to direction and adjust workflow when requested.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills at all levels are a must.
