Senior Mechanical Engineer; Building Services

Tier 1 multinational firm, major hospital projects, commercial and future olympic projects. Fill the gap in a mech team of 12, rare opportunity.

Our client is a Tier 1 Building Services consultancy boasting a strong established team. They have won a substantial share of the QLD government public hospital projects as well as a hefty amount of new and major retrofit commercial projects.
This ongoing workload along with strategic plan to start bid planning on Olympic projects in July has created a need for a Senior Mechanical Engineer within the current team of 12.
We are seeking an engineer with around six to seven years in solid Building Services mechanical design or project engineering role; ideally gained within a consultancy or design team from a major contractor.
You will be given the responsibility to design and manage either an entire commercial office tower project or a significant section of a hospital, any experience you have with design of hospitals would be an advantage. Otherwise for this more complex type of project you will receive senior guidance.
Responsibilities;

• Leading the mechanical services design on specific projects.
• Coordinating mechanical services design with other engineering disciplines (internal and
• external consultants).
• Creating mechanical services designs from concept through to construction.
• Providing construction assistance relating to Building Services during construction and
• post-construction stages.
• Attending design meetings and managing client relationships and project deadlines.

Required;

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering;
• At least 6 years experience in Building Services gained with a consulting environment with Australia, New Zealand, UK or South Africa OR experience gain from a design team within a main contractor;
• Possess OR eligible for CPENG and/or RPEQ (If you tick the box but have not yet gained RPEQ, assistance will be provided for you to work towards this accreditation);
• Positive can do attitude valuing a collaborative and harmonious team environment;
