Senior Mechanical Engineer-Refrigeration

The Company

Gordon Brothers Industries is the largest Industrial Refrigeration Company within Australia. We have offices in each state and provide complete industrial refrigeration solutions including design, construction and comprehensive servicing for a wide range of sectors including mining, chemical, food and beverage.

Primary Objective

As a result of our continued growth we are looking for a self-sufficient and motivated Senior Mechanical Engineer to join the team in our Acacia Ridge office, QLD.

Or are you looking to relocate to NSW? If so we also have a vacancy for a Senior Mechanical Engineer based in our office located at Campsie NSW too.

Ideally the candidate will bring extensive knowledge and experience in project management and construction. Good technical aptitude, exceptional time management, strong computer and communication skills are a necessity. You will be responsible for ensuring all assigned tasks are executed in accordance with the company’s implementation project methodology.
You will have

• Tertiary qualification (minimum B.Eng.) in mechanical engineering.
• >5 years’ experience HVAC/R industries 
• The ability to create, read and interpret drawings
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proactive approach and ability to work autonomously
• Keenness to learn and develop through contact with many different areas such as external fabricators and consultants, tradespeople and other professionals
• Possess a current valid driver’s license

Your responsibilities will include the following:

• Liaise directly with clients to define scope, secure projects etc 
• Detailed design and layout work
• Project scoping, tender document preparation, cost estimation, tender evaluation and preparation of recommendation reports and presentations.
• Ensure completed works are carried out in compliance with relative codes and standards
• Ensure quality, safety and environmental aspects are adhered to
• Working closely with other departments to ensure projects are completed on time and on budget
