As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be involved with and responsible for the design and delivery of key projects across various industries, including health, commercial office, education, sports and recreation, and defence and will be able to demonstrate proven engineering leadership. Duties & ResponsibilitiesContribute to the provision of mechanical services within Canberra and supporting the ACOR Group on a national basis.
Lead multi-disciplinary projects. Production of project documentation to an end client standard. Manage / support mechanical projects or sub-projects to achieve mechanical deliverables.
Apply professional judgement progressively to more difficult tasks. Undertake professional development training, development and experience. Report to the Mechanical Service Line Leader.
Provide mentoring and training for junior staff. Manage drafting staff and BIM designers on a project basis. Ensure that project milestones, deadlines budget and cashflow are appropriately managed.
Contribute to standards, templates and similar documents used to communicate mechanical requirements, deliverables and the like. Skills & ExperienceMinimum 6 years experience in Mechanical Engineering within a building services engineering consultancy. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent tertiary qualification.
