KAEFER Integrated Services Pty Ltd are currently seeking a experienced Estimator to join the team in Mid-West Branch – Geraldton Western Australia
Job Description
- Estimating of mechanical, structural and piping works
- Provides technical support during all phases of the projects to meet the operational requirements and standards, and that work is undertaken within the scope
- Coordination of bids, estimates and tenders for the Midwest region of WA, including assessment of scope of work and all documentation associated with tendering for works.
- Analyse drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labour estimates for products, projects, or services by performing the following duties.
- Review tender documentation to determine scope and specific terms and conditions.
- Obtain competitive quotes for the provision of necessary materials and services.
- Undertake accurate material take-offs and man hour calculations.
- Accurately calculate man-hours.
- Collate material take-offs and job costs into clear, well-structured spreadsheets.
- Partake in tender reviews with senior management
- Assist in preparing professional tender submission documents such as Methodology
- Statements, Project Schedules and Management Plans in line with client and Company requirements.
Essential requirements
- Trade background
- Minimum of three years previous estimating and quoting experience in heavy metals fabrication industry
- Good knowledge and use of Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Word and MS Project
- Great time management, organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Strong communication and client relationship building skills
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical assessment
Desired requirements
- Have completed a Mechanical Engineering degree
- Quantity Survey qualification
