About the Role:
An exciting opportunity is presented to work within the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network as a Senior Medical Practitioner within the Critical Care Division.
As a Senior Medical Practitioner (SMP) you will be required to work with limited or no direction or supervision and exercise a high level of professional judgements and clinical competence. In this role you will be:
- Responsible for managing the care of all patients allocated to them in the Emergency Department in collaboration with the responsible Resident Medical Officers, Registrars, consultants, Nurses and Allied Health professionals.
- Involved in Continuous Quality Improvement activities.
- Involved with the Strategic Management Planning for the Emergency Department.
- Involved in continuing education activities.
- Able to undertake complex duties and/or programme initiation, development and review and/or policy development.
As per the SA Health Salaried Medical Officers Enterprise Agreement 2022, the total term of employment with SA Health will be 3 years. Rotations following the initial 12 month allocation as Medical Practitioner will be determined in line with your training and SA Health’s requirements. This may include transfer to other SA Health locations to perform work appropriate to classification, skills and capabilities.
To be eligible for this position, you must hold a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner.
The Total Indicative Remuneration figure is calculated taking into account base salary, leave loading and superannuation as well as managerial allowances, professional development or any other allowances where appropriate.
Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Check.
