They are an established business, servicing clients across Canberra. They are looking for an experienced Medical Receptionist to join their friendly team on a full-time basis, located in Canberra City South.
Your new role
As a Medical Receptionist, you will be responsible for:
- Acting as first point of contact for all patients in a professional and courteous manner
- Answering phone calls and emails and responding to enquiries from patients, doctors, and other healthcare professionals
- Scheduling appointments and maintaining the appointment diary
- Checking patients in and out, verifying insurance/Medicare information, and collecting payments
- Coordinating with other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive the care they need
- Maintaining a clean and organised reception area
- Assisting with any other adhoc administration tasks, such as filing, processing mail, or ordering stock.
- Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or a similar role
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- A professional presentation and a customer-oriented attitude
- A friendly demeanour and a team player
- Work Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:30pm
