Karora Resources is a gold and nickel producer in WA. Headquartered in Toronto, Canada, we currently operate the Beta Hunt underground mine in Kambalda and the Higginsville Gold Operations, which includes a 1.6 Mtpa mill and processing plant, near Norseman in the Goldfields region of Western Australia and the recently acquired 1.0Mtpa Lakewood Mill in Kalgoorlie.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Carry out survey control for Mining activities maintained in line with the weekly schedule requirements
- Maintain an accrual record of mine voids and service infrastructure
- Develop set outs and pickups, long hole stope set outs, diamond drill set outs and pickups, ventilation system pickups, CMS pickups and ROM pickups
- Daily operation of the Underground Mining Surveyor requirements and develop and maintain underground surveying to a high level
- End of month reporting and interpretation
- Updating of the underground mine model and statutory plans with daily interaction with the Technical Services team such as Geology, Engineering and Underground Operations
ABOUT YOU
- Current “C” Class Western Australian driver’s licence
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Surveying role within the resources industry
- Diploma in Mine Surveying (minimum or equivalent)
- Grade 1 Authorisation
- Strong computer skills with competency and exposure to Deswik
- Experience with drones and Pix4D software, desirable
- Solid communication skills, with the ability to build strong, collaborative, and successful working relationships with your team
- A can-do, team-oriented attitude
- Desire to maintain a proactive safe working environment
- Solid problem-solving skills, with the ability to think on your feet and be adaptable
