About the role:
As the Senior Mining Registrar, you will lead your team to deliver permit administration services, undertake assessment of mining tenure applications to promote sustainable economic prosperity and just outcomes.
Your experience to liaise with clients and stakeholders in government, industry and the community, will be used to support responsible use of the state's minerals and energy resources.
You will enjoy exercising your strong analytical and problem-solving skills to support administrative decision making within the Georesources Delivery of the Georesources Division.
To be successful you will have:

  • Manage and deliver resource authority management services efficiently and costeffectively, aligned with departmental strategy.
  • Provide timely advice and recommendations on strategic and operational matters affecting the Coal Assessment Hub.
  • Represent the department in consultations and negotiations with government agencies, the resources sector, and the community.
  • Interpret and apply legislation to resolve issues related to mining products assessment and administration.
  • Lead and support team members, demonstrating personal leadership qualities.
About you
You will have outstanding communication, analytical, decision-making, project management, leadership, and accountability skills.
Mandatory requirements
  • The possession of a current C class driver's licence is desirable.
  • Travel away from the centre may be required. This may involve travel outside of normal office hours and/or overnight accommodation for extended periods.
