Senior Network Engineer – Network Segmentation

My client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer with expertise in implementing large-scale network segmentation to join their dynamic team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the advancement of their network infrastructure for a leading Australian University.

WHAT’S ON OFFER

• $700 a Day Inclusive of super.
• Initial 6-Month engagement, with possibility of extension.

THE ROLE:

• Design, implement, and maintain large-scale network segmentation solutions tailored to the specific needs of our university environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of network segmentation strategies across various departments, data centres, and cloud environments (Azure/AWS).
• Provide technical expertise in managing and optimizing Data Centres, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security of network infrastructure.
• Deploy and manage advanced network security solutions such as Aruba ClearPass for authentication, authorization, and policy enforcement.
• Lead the configuration, deployment, and management of Large-Scale AOS8 Wireless Technology to meet the University's connectivity requirements.
• Conduct thorough analysis and troubleshooting of network issues, implementing effective resolutions to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted service delivery.
• Document network designs, configurations, and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintain comprehensive network documentation.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies, best practices, and industry trends to continuously enhance the University's network infrastructure.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. (Master’s degree preferred)
• Proven experience as a Senior Network Engineer with a focus on implementing large-scale network segmentation in complex environments.
• Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with cloud environments, particularly Azure and AWS, including networking, security, and integration.
• Strong understanding and practical experience with Data Centres, including design, implementation, and management.
• Proficiency in configuring and managing Large-Scale AOS8 Wireless Technology, preferably in an educational or enterprise setting.
• In-depth knowledge of network security principles, protocols, and technologies, with hands-on experience deploying solutions such as Aruba ClearPass.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
• Relevant certifications (e.g.,CCNP, CCIE, Aruba Certified Mobility Professional) are highly desirable.
