ABOUT THE ROLE:

 Join Mercy Health's Technology Team during this exciting period of digital transformation and growth in our Health and Healthy Ageing services. The Senior Network Engineer will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) focusing on the management, maintenance, and support of the hospital's network and communication infrastructure and systems, including wireless technologies.

Reporting to the Deputy Director Technology Operations, the Senior Network Engineer will possess a broad range of technical capabilities, including expertise in Network Switching, Advanced Routing Knowledge, Network Design Skills, Network Security, Quality of Service (QoS), Network Virtualization, and Network Management.

In addition to these responsibilities, the Senior Network Engineer will act as an SME on transformative network projects and programs of work, collaborating with service partners and across various initiatives to ensure the ongoing operation and optimization of critical network systems.

ABOUT YOU:

We're seeking a dynamic, energetic individual with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Network Engineering. You should have a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent experience, along with Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE - Enterprise Infrastructure/Routing and Switching) or equivalent certification. Proficiency in Cisco ISE, Fortinet Firewalls, and Cisco Call Manager 12.5 or higher is essential.

Key Requirements: 

  • Demonstrated management and leadership skills to manage and lead projects and initiatives.
  • Liaison with technical teams to ensure professionalism, operational efficiency, operational excellence, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to build and maintain high-level relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and customers to ensure well-communicated project initiatives.
  • Collaborative work with our Service Partner.
  • Provide project leadership and advocacy to Mercy Health.
