Our growing FMCG business located on the Mornington Peninsula, is looking for an energetic, passionate & highly experienced Senior Nurseryperson

Duties will include:

·         preparing potting media and containers before planting

·         selecting seeds, bulbs and cuttings, and planting them in beds, lawn areas and tubs

·         budding and grafting vegetative material onto root stock

·         watering plants manually and controlling automatic watering operations

·         applying pesticides to control pests, diseases, weeds and nutritional and environmental plant disorders

·         keeping records of soil mixtures, plantings, treatments, losses and yields

·         selecting plants and packaging them for presentation and delivery

·         advising customers on plant care and appropriate plants for local conditions.

It is essential you possess the following

·         Hands on and show of commitment

·         Successful completion of an appropriate Trade Qualification

·         Proven post-trade experience in a similar role or ability to adapt and display skills required

·         Proven ability and willingness to work as part of a team

·         Ability to communicate across all levels of the business

·         Ability to work autonomously, without supervision

• 2-3 years of relevant work experience required for this role
• Working rights required for this role
• Expected start date for role: 30 March 2024
• Expected salary: $70,000 - $78,000 per year
