About the role
Reporting to the Haulage Superintendent, the purpose of this role is the provision of management for all labour and contract resources, whilst managing the day-to-day functions of safe and efficient asset maintenance, ensuring safe systems of work are employed and cost effective. Working on a 2/1 roster, This position sits within our CSI division of the business; therefore we are looking for applicants with demonstrated haulage experience within a mining environment.
- Developing and implementation of asset reliability and availability strategies
- Governing implemented MRT strategies designed to achieve project production and HSEQT targets
- Liaising with senior project and MRT/MRL management concerning ad hoc maintenance, maintenance schedules, variations and delay notification
- Attendance at project meetings
- Ensure work is conducted in compliance with MRL HSEQT framework & MRL maintenance principles and schedules
- Responsibility for the safe and efficient use of tools, equipment and mechanical aids
- Ensure compliance with appropriate vehicle licences, high risk tickets etc
What you’ll bring to the team
- Trade certification (HD Mechanical and or qualifications in Business or Mechanical Engineering)
- 10 years’ experience in a mining or heavy haulage environment
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role, with demonstrated experience performing a leadership position
- Experience managing large crews
- Ability to manage large sized projects and logistical challenges
- Extensive maintenance and operational capabilities of various heavy vehicle and ancillary plant and equipment
- “Can do” attitude and excellent problem solver
