Position Profile: The Department of Health are seeking experienced and highly motivated professionals to join our team within the Chief Nursing and Midwifery Office.
The successful candidate will provide high level support and advice to the Principal Nursing Advisor. You will actively participate in the planning, development and implementation of key strategic projects and policies.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Lead the development, planning, coordination, and the implementation of key initiatives, strategies and policy that have an impact on the nursing and midwifery workforce.
- Maintain an expert awareness of relevant trends and issues in relation to nursing and midwifery research, workforce, policy, practice, legislation and regulation at a local, national and global level that may impact nursing and midwifery.
- Initiate, develop, coordinate, implement, monitor and evaluate relevant projects associated with local, national and international nursing and midwifery legislation, regulation, policy and practice; and in accordance with government and departmental objectives.
- Develop comprehensive project management documentation, including communication plans and stakeholder engagement to ensure the effectiveness of strategic projects.
To be considered for this role, you must be eligible for registration in the category of Registered Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
