Job description

Deliver high level and contemporary occupational therapy skills and knowledge in the assessment and treatment of clients.

About the role

  • To deliver high level and contemporary occupational therapy skills and knowledge in the assessment and treatment of clients within the Halwyn Centre, Community and Oral Health (COH).    

About you

 Knowledge, skills and expertise

 Clinical Practice

  • Demonstrates Contemporary high-level knowledge, expertise and skills in the provision of occupational therapy services for clients with a developmental disability, as recognised by clinical experience, professional development activities, post graduate education or formal qualifications, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Demonstrated Ability to provide occupational therapy clinical services of a complex nature, where established principles, procedures and methods require some expansion, adaptation or modification.
  • Communication
  • Demonstrates the professional capacity to lead a professional and/or multidisciplinary team, including the leading of clinical solutions through a wider team
  • Demonstrated Ability to provide high level clinical advice to professional and operational supervisors regarding service delivery, technology and improvement opportunities.
  • Leadership and Management
  • Demonstrates A broad understanding of the continuum of care for occupational therapy and the organisational provision of multidisciplinary health services
  • Demonstrated Ability to initiate, plan and evaluate local service improvement initiatives and provide clinical supervision to subordinate personnel.
