Job description

Deliver high level occupational therapy services and leadership (including education and/or research) within the multidisciplinary Rehabilitation Service of Community and Oral Health, Metro North Hospital and Health Service.

About the role

  • The purpose of this role is to deliver high level occupational therapy services and leadership (including education and/or research) within the multidisciplinary Rehabilitation Service of Community and Oral Health, Metro North Hospital and Health Service. This service supports adult patients of all ages, who have care needs which require them to undertake intensive therapeutic rehabilitation programs to help improve safe functioning. This service assists patients with planning a discharge to a destination which meets their needs.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

  • Demonstrated high-level clinical evidence-based skill, knowledge and leadership in the field of Occupational Therapy with the ability to independently manage a Rehabilitation caseload and to act as a recognised reference point for multidisciplinary and occupational therapy colleagues
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development, clinical education and research, placing high priority on developing self and others and the knowledge base of the service
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering safe and high-quality services with the ability to identify new opportunities and develop solutions to meet customer expectations and improve the patient journey
