What you'll be doing
The purpose of the position is to provide specialised Occupational Therapy services as part of the rehabilitation multidisciplinary team.
The position has responsibility for planning, co-ordinating and implementing evidence-based practice in addition to providing clinical expertise and specialised knowledge, with specific occupational therapy assessment and treatment skills in rehabilitation.
The position has line responsibility for the guidance of Level 1/2 staff members and allied health assistants using specialised Occupational Therapist skills.
This role is a full time position for a Senior Occupational Therapist passionate to make a difference in people’s lives.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background encouraged to apply.Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Full registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia. Evidence of extensive clinical experience as an Occupational Therapist Level 2.
- Evidence of advanced occupational therapy expertise and clinical reasoning skills within the clinical area of rehabilitation.
- Experience providing advice, support or supervision to occupational therapy colleagues, allied health assistants and students, primarily in the clinical area of rehabilitation.
- Demonstrated aptitude for, and an interest in, service improvement.
