Commencing 24th June 2024, this role is a 12-month full-time locum as a Senior Acute Occupational Therapist. This role will see you working a 7-day roster, with the occasional Saturday required. You will have clinical responsibility to the Intensive Care (ICU) and Coronary Care Units (CCU), as well as our outpatient Cardiac Rehab program.
You will be responsible for supervising our Level 1 Acute Service Occupational Therapist as well as undergraduate supervision. To help you thrive in the role, you will be offered a face-to-face handover from our current Senior Acute Occupational Therapist in first week of employment. Ongoing support and supervision will also be provided from a senior therapist within the department. We strongly encourage and support professional development.

Located in the picturesque city of Tamworth, the Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital services the local New England community. The city is well known for being family friendly - offering a broad range of sport, lifestyle and cultural experiences.

About you:
We are seeking someone who is:
- Experienced in acute services with some understanding of coronary care.
- Experienced with specific clinical caseload, or else has a keen willingness to learn.
- Experienced with complex clients and knowledge of NDIS and ENABLE processes.
- Experienced with supervising peers and undergraduate students.
- Able to implement and complete quality projects.
- Willing to aid other acute clinical areas within the hospital when required.
- Willing to provided occasional weekend service to the acute units when appropriately orientated to organisation.
