About Ascend
We have three passions at Ascend: Staff Wellbeing, Client-Centered Care, and better university learning. Our goal is to maximise therapy outcomes for patients, and we know the best way to do this is by supporting our staff, as well as helping university students learn the skills needed to be the ultimate therapists.
One of Ascend's biggest focuses is on hiring students who study allied health degrees, and employing them as support workers. Not only do NDIS participants get relatable, energetic, well-trained and compassionate support workers, but the support workers get to develop vital communication, leadership and key therapeutic skills before they begin their journey as a therapists. When our therapists aren't delivering therapy in the community, they're there to help train and guide the support workers along in this process, and find it very helpful to their therapy members needing support work!
