This is a Pool process with permanent full time opportunities.

Currently, there are two (2) permanent positions available for immediate filling.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Senior Officer Security is responsible for assisting with the secure management of Bunbury Regional Prison. The Senior Officer Security will assist the Manager Security to ensure the security and good order of the prison is maintained in line with the Bunbury Regional Prison Business Plan as well as ensures the care, wellbeing and development needs of prisoners are met. 

The Senior Officer Security shall assist to direct, control and administer activities relating to Security including intelligence, investigations, staff standards and emergency management.

The Senior Officer Security will have the responsibility for auditing function within the security portfolio, develop and maintain an annual audit plan for the security section, and carry out such audits as required by the Superintendent.

Pool Recruitment

This pool will be open for a period of twelve (12) months from the day after the breach of standard claim period closes. Permanent, full time appointments may be offered as vacancies arise; however, an appointment is not guaranteed.

The Department of Justice uses recruitment pools to build a bank of talent for future opportunities. Applicants found suitable in this pool, may be considered for subsequent, similar vacancies at similar locations, with the Department of Justice for the duration of the pool.
