The City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder is seeking a dynamic and driven individual to join our team as a Senior Officer - Strategic Grants and Administration.

As a Senior Officer – Strategic Grants and Administration, you will play a pivotal role in securing funding opportunities and driving initiatives that address the needs and priorities of our residents.
Responsibilities include
- Grant Administration: Administer the Department of Social Services (DSS) Brokerage Funding project, ensuring compliance with grant guidelines and alignment with Council’s strategic priorities.
- Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and review Council reports, corporate documentation ensuring accuracy and adherence to requirements.
- Strategic Project Development: Develop and manage grant proposals in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring they meet the criteria of funding agencies.
- Research and Identification: Research and identify potential grant opportunities that align with the Council’s strategic priorities, contributing to the growth and sustainability of our community.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure adherence to grant requirements, fostering strong partnerships for successful project implementation.
- Monitoring and Compliance: Monitor grant progress, prepare reports for funders and stakeholders, and ensure marketing and financial compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Professional Development: Stay informed about the latest grant opportunities, regulations, and trends by attending meetings and workshops, enhancing your knowledge and skills in grant management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (such as Business Administration, Public Administration, or Social Sciences).
- Demonstrated experience in contract review, negotiation, and management.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prepare high-quality proposals and reports.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of grant funding regulations, financial management, and risk assessment.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.

Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Salary ranges between $107,067 to $113,400
